group volunteer opportunities

Gather some co-workers, friends, your church group, etc., and impact the lives of women and children! Group volunteer activities are great for team building and provides every volunteer with a sense of accomplishment. Below are some of our most popular opportunities.

maintenance support

Organize our mall, gift room, art room, tutor lab, or kid’s closet. Deep clean community rooms and hallways. Outdoor yard cleanup.

Special events

Plan & lead a special event for women, children or families on or off site – game night, art & craft projects, pampering event for women, yoga, fitness, self-improvement or health & well-being workshop…the opportunities are endless!

Make A MEAL

Prepare lunch or dinner for residents.  If you are interested in cooking on a regular basis consider joining our Cook It Up team.

DONATION DRIVES

Haven Housing relies on donations drives to meet the needs of our residents.

Fun In The Sun: Gather swim suits, sun screen, tank tops, flip flops etc…

Sparkle and Shine: Gather cleaning supplies including kitchen, window and toilet cleaners, sponges, hand and dish soap, etc…

Winter Warmth: Gather gloves and mittens, hats, scarves, coats, sweatshirts, warm socks and boots for women and children.

Good Night, Sleep Tight: Gather sheet sets, pillows and pillow cases, and blankets for twin and full-size beds.

Please contact Heather to coordinate a group: hguerin@havenhousing.org. We are excited to work with you!

INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Haven Housing regularly relies on the vision, gifts and passion of our committed volunteers. Your presence makes a profound difference in the lives of the women and children we serve; we could not do this important work without our volunteers.
